The captain further said that Rahul's best performance comes in the opening slot, where he has scored a lot of runs. He stressed that Rahul can give him the needed start at the top of the order.

He said, “Because of this, we used KL Rahul in the middle order last year. He has always been good, he has scored a lot of runs in the opening slot. And if you get good starts in T20 cricket, it becomes easier for the backs. So, I think as of now, we will keep him as an opener.”
