Mumbai Indians spinner AM Ghazanfar Turned the game around with a brilliant double strike against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 29 April. After MI posted a mammoth score of 243/5, Ghazanfar stepped in to change the momentum in the ninth over.
He was the first to dismiss Abhishek Sharma on a tossed ball which led to a mistimed slog, resulting in a lead. Trent Boult moved quickly to his left to complete a comfortable catch. The left-handed batsman was out after scoring 45 runs in 24 balls.
On the very next ball, Ghazanfar struck again and dismissed Ishan Kishan for a golden duck. A clever slider left the batsman tight for room, leading to an awkward cut which resulted in a bottom edge onto the stumps. Back-to-back wickets brought Mumbai Indians back into the contest.
