Abhishek Sharma hits two sky-high sixes to reach century during SRH vs DC match

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Batsman Abhishek Sharma scored his first century in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) after hitting two consecutive sixes off Nitish Rana in the 15th over during the game against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Tuesday, April 21.

Before Rana started the last over of the innings, Abhishek was batting on 92 runs, having scored 32 runs in his first three overs. The left-handed batsman hit a powerful six on the very first ball. The 25-year-old decided not to play it safe while batting on 98 to get to his second IPL century.

Rana pitched the ball short and Abhishek was ready to pounce, going on the backfoot and hitting his second consecutive six over the deep square leg fielder.

However, Rana's over was not at all good for SRH. After hitting two sixes on the first two balls and then a four on the third ball, Abhishek hit a straight drive towards the bowlers, but the ball hit Rana's hands and hit the stumps of the non-striker's end and captain Ishan Kishan was out.

Abhishek's The unbeaten 135-run knock took SRH to a total of 242 runs from their quota of 20 overs. They got excellent help till the end from Heichrich Klaasen's unbeaten inning of 37 runs in 13 balls.
