Imran Tahir He was the top ranked bowler in T20I cricket during the 2017 IPL auction. However, the South African leg spinner surprisingly remained unsold. However, he was later included in the Rising Pune Supergiant squad as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh.
Tahir played a key role for the Steven Smith-led franchise in IPL 2017. He helped his team reach the final by taking 18 wickets. Tahir was later signed by Chennai Super Kings, where he won the Purple Cap in 2019 by taking 26 wickets in 17 matches at an average of 16.57.
