It was a tumultuous season for the five-time champions, but despite their struggles, they managed to stay in the playoff race until their final game of the season. They were seriously affected by injuries and often had to make changes to their team before finding a settled combination. With an impressive roster of talented players and several players getting playing time, we take a look at players who could have gotten a chance to play longer with the team.

3. Urvil Patel

wicketkeeper-batsman Urvil Patel He has built a reputation as a ferocious hitter in the domestic game, capable of scoring big runs and decimating bowling attacks with big sixes. While he was relegated to a bench role, the Gujarat player was able to get an extended run in the team due to Ayush Mhatre's injury.
He performed brilliantly in the season and scored 129 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 201.56. He scored his first half-century of IPL with a score of 65. That innings took him to his 50 in just 13 balls, the joint-fastest in the history of the competition. With a brilliant innings, he showed that he has the game to face the best bowlers, but the question is how much he would have been able to contribute had he been given a chance to play with the team for a longer period of time.
