Delhi Capitals (DC) Come into the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season with a very strong squad, which also includes a very powerful overseas contingent. The Axar Patel-led side will be looking to improve on their performance from last season, where they finished fifth and were just one point away from a playoff spot.
The Delhi-based team has one problem that most teams would love to have, and that is having an excellent group of overseas players while only four can take the field. As a result, team management will have to spend a lot of sleepless nights as they try to find their best combination ahead of the tournament.

4. Ben Duckett – England
ben duckett One of the most exciting debutants in this year's IPL. The left-handed batsman is considered one of the best opening batsmen across all formats at present. DC recently signed the Englishman for his base price of Rs 2 crore in the mini auction.
Should DC decide to open with KL Rahul, having Duckett there could give them a left-arm, right-arm combination which would be handy in giving Rahul time to settle down as Duckett has a tendency to handle the bowlers right from the start. However, Capitals also have in-form Pathum Nissanka who can easily slot into that opening slot.
