The Kings have won consecutive matches to start their campaign. They will look to complete a hat-trick of wins when they face Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday, April 6.

“Yuzvendra Chahal is a very dangerous name in Indian cricket. And he is even more dangerous overseas. I have seen over the years that he is very serious on and off the field. He just wants to go on and win matches for the team,” Gonsalves said via NDTV on the eve of the IPL match against KKR.
Gonsalves praised the working style of the spinner who was dropped from the Indian team. The latter said that Chahal's work ethic is what makes him so strong in the Punjab Kings dressing room.
“He has been in every practice session, every single camp. He is the front runner in all those camps and is the most involved person in this set-up. It is always the case that he just wants to perform, he wants to be the top guy for the team. He brings that kind of commitment.”
Chahal will have a key role against the exciting batting department of Knight Riders. Punjab is entering this match with two consecutive wins. The Knights, on the other hand, are desperate to make a mark as they have suffered two consecutive defeats before starting their IPL 2026 campaign.
