The men's Twenty20 Champions League is ready to return after 11 years, reproduced as the World Club Championship. BCCI yet to make final calls
After the report, there has been an increase in discussion about RCB's future partnership, not only in the Champions League but also in future IPL sessions. There is no official statement from BCCI about any disciplinary action.
The CID investigation is going on and legal proceedings are expected, RCB's location in the World Club Championship is still not confirmed. In particular, the international tournament structure and scheduling will need to be well finalized before the start of September 2026, making a quick decision by the franchise and board.
Which team can play the Champions League instead of RCB?
If RCB is eventually considered disqualified or extracted from the tournament due to ongoing investigation and legal complications, IPL may be in line to replace the Punjab in 2025, Punjab Kings, to replace them.
