Virat Kohli took to Instagram Stories to quash rumors of him moving back to London between games during the upcoming 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Some reports have suggested that Kohli had requested a chartered flight from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to fly from India to London between games spanning more than three days during the tournament. Kohli shared the post on his Instagram Stories with two crying emojis and called the claim fake news.

Meanwhile, the former India captain is completely focused on the upcoming season and is keen to help RCB retain their title. Earlier this month, the 37-year-old had shared a video of himself in the nets ahead of the start of the new IPL season. The reel showed him playing some amazing shots with the brand new MRF-sponsored bat. Kohli has already joined the RCB camp as they look to make a winning start to their title defence.
RCB will play the opening match of the new IPL season against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, March 28.
Kohli has come into the IPL on the back of excellent form for India in One Day Internationals (ODIs). The right-handed batsman scored a century of 124 against New Zealand in Indore in his most recent international match.
The former RCB captain was also his team's leading run-scorer during their title-winning 2025 IPL campaign, scoring 657 runs at an average of 54.75. There will be a lot of hopes and expectations on their shoulders as the Bengaluru team aims to become the first team since Mumbai Indians to retain the IPL crown in 2020.
