He then showed his class with a brilliant cover drive, completing a hat-trick of fours and leaving the bowler under pressure. Trying to respond, Hazlewood played the final ball short, but Suryavanshi responded immediately, pulling it to deep square leg to make a maximum of 19 runs.
For a rising sensation to dominate a bowler with such pedigree so convincingly, it was a moment that was truly remarkable.
