Vaibhav Suryavanshi did not show any respect to the bowlers, fans were surprised by his innings against MI

Rajasthan Royals (RR) opening batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi Played a sensational inning against Mumbai Indians at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in the Indian Premier League 2026 on Wednesday, April 7. The young talent dismantled MI's bowling attack in the rain-affected encounter, scoring 39 runs off just 14 balls, which included one four and five sky-scraping sixes.

Suryavanshi came during the second over of the match, which was reduced to 11 overs due to rain. Facing Jasprit Bumrah for the first time, he made an immediate impact by hitting a six off his very first ball after Bumrah made a mistake on length. He continued his aggressive approach and sent another short, slower ball down the leg side for his second maximum in the same over.

The attack didn't stop there as he punished Trent Boult for a mistimed yorker, smashing him for another six over backward square leg. He also repeated history by hitting a six off Shardul Thakur, as he did on his debut in IPL 2025. Suryavanshi maintained an astonishing strike rate of 240.62.

In the match, RR scored an impressive 150/3 in 11 overs with Yashasvi Jaiswal remaining unbeaten on 77 off 32 balls, hitting 10 fours and four sixes at a blistering strike rate of 240.62. For MI, AM Ghazanfar was the standout bowler, taking 2/21 from his two overs.
