He missed one of the first four Shield Games in Queensland before the boundary-Gavaskar trophy, and nine days after the Sri Lanka tour, he missed the Shield game against Western Australia, where he scored 232 goals in the first Test. Khwaja was not the only Test player to miss this round but Beau played for Tasmania, playing three recent Tests for Australia.
Khwaja has already played seven first-class matches with seven Tests this summer, which is already more than any Australian domestic Red-ball games and days will play in the Shield Summer in all. He has already captained Queensland in 2021 to win a Shield title. However, after the last week of March, Khwaja is likely to rest for April and May after the last week of March is preparing for four Tests in June and July. There will be no international commitment until the Ashes begins in late November.
Meanwhile, Khazar Queensland's teammates started their journey to Adelaide for additional training before the match that began on Saturday as the squad could not train the entire week due to Cyclone Alfred.
Australia Champions Trophy player Shan Abbott, Ben Bamshuis and Tanvir have named Australia Champions Trophy player to clash with Tasmania at Ninja Stadium (Belariv Oval) at New South Wales Hobart. Although Queensland defeated South Australia, a win and significant bonus point may be enough to reach the NSW final in front of Queensland.
