Dwayne Pretorius – 37 years old

South African all-rounder Dwayne Pretorius will be among the oldest players in the auction list this year. The 37-year-old's career took off late after a series of knee injuries. His comeback saw him become South Africa's T20 Amateur Cricketer of the Year in 2011–12, earn a franchise contract in 2014–15, and subsequently represent his country in all three formats.
Pretorius also has South Africa's best T20I bowling figures of 5 for 17 against Pakistan. In the IPL, he played a total of seven matches for Chennai Super Kings in 2022 and 2023 and took six wickets. This year he has once again put his name forward and will enter at a base price of Rs 1 crore. It will be interesting to see whether CSK buy Pretorius back or whether he finds a new home elsewhere.
