Indian off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin Officially announced its retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL), which ends an association that lasted for more than 15 years. Ashwin ends as the fifth biggest wicket -taker
He started his IPL in 2009 with his home franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. His ability to distribute Carrom Ball made him a domestic name. CSK's back-to-back title wins in the off-spinner 2010 and 2011 were important, Dhoni also handed him a new ball to dismiss Chris Gayle against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2011 final.
