The conflict between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBK) is becoming a high-octane run-fest at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Batting first, PBK scored a total of 245 runs in 20 overs. Skipper Shres Iyer led the front, scoring 82 runs in only 36 delivery, while the rest of the batting unit effectively affixed to push the total well beyond the 240 mark.
In response, SRH opener Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma came out with an aggressive intentions, tore the PBKS bowling attack. Both put the visitors under pressure from the beginning.
Glenn Maxwell The fifth over was introduced during the powerplay, but was taken to the cleaner, scoring 16 runs in his first over, then scored 10 and 14 runs in his next two overs respectively. Despite the brief on-field drama, SRH's charge continued. Travis Head scored 66 runs in 37 balls before falling in Yuzvendra Chahal, Glenn Maxwell completed the catch. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma put it on a show for the house crowd, running in a century, remained unbeaten for 107 off just 43 balls, with 11 fours and 7 sixes.
At the end of 14 overs, SRH 1 was strong at 186, requiring 60 runs in the final 6 overs with Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klassen at the crease. The hosts are well on track for their second win of the 2025 IPL season, much for Hyderabad's happiness.
