Rajasthan Royals Defeated Gujarat Titans by six runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the 9th match of the Indian Premier League 2026.
After winning the toss and batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 210/6 runs in 20 overs. Royals got off to a fast start, with Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal both scoring runs and putting on a 70-run partnership for the first wicket in just 38 balls. Vaibhav was then dismissed for 31 by Rashid Khan, who was standing in for Shubman Gill as captain. After this, Dhruv Jurel made a partnership of 56 runs with Jaiswal, but the latter became the victim of Kagiso Rabada on 55 runs.
Jurel scored 75 runs in 42 balls with brilliant strokeplay and controlled aggression. His innings was the backbone of the Royals' innings. Rabada was the best bowler, taking two wickets.
In reply, the Titans got off to a bright start, with Sai Sudarshan and Kumar Kushagra putting on a 78-run partnership for the first wicket. Kushagra was dismissed by Riyan Parag, while Sudarshan walked on. Kushgra's wicket opened the floodgates Ravi Bishnoi Shocked the Titans' innings by taking three wickets in two overs. Jos Buttler looked to be coming into form, but he lost to Nandre Berger for 26 runs.
Bishoni then took another wicket and finished with 4/41. With 50 runs needed off the last 31 balls, Kagiso Rabada along with Rashid Khan stitched a 43-run partnership which went in vain as Tushar Deshpande showed courage to defend 11 runs in the final over.
