Rajasthan Royals (RR) registered an impressive 27-run win over Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 13 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, April 7. Due to rain the match became 11-over-a-side.
After being invited to bat, RR scored a strong total of 150/3 in the allotted overs thanks to a sensational innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Who remained unbeaten after scoring 77 runs on just 32 balls. He got strong support from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who scored 39 runs in 14 balls, including five sixes, and the duo made a stormy stand of 80 runs in just 4.6 overs.
RR kept the momentum going through Riyan Parag, who scored a quickfire 20, while Shimron Hetmyer remained unbeaten in the end. For MI, AM Ghazanfar was the best bowler with two wickets.
In reply, MI was never able to chase the target of 151 runs. Early attacks from Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma put them on the backfoot and wickets kept falling at regular intervals. A brief counter-attack from Sherfane Rutherford (25 off 8) and Naman Dheer (25 off 13) gave some hope, but the required rate proved too steep. MI eventually finished at 123/9 in 11 overs.
RR's bowling unit performed brilliantly Nandre Burger And Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets each, while Sandeep Sharma also took two wickets.
Overall, it was an impressive all-round performance from Rajasthan Royals, who outclassed Mumbai Indians in all departments and secured a convincing win.
