Indian wicketkeeper-batsman sanju samson Recently, during a brief stopover in Kerala, he created a heart-touching moment for a fan by gifting him a new smartphone. The incident took place near Panchapadam School on Mundoor-Thootha Road in Palakkad and has since attracted widespread attention for its simplicity and kindness.
According to reports, Samson was traveling from Kozhikode to Coimbatore when he stopped his journey at around 5:15 pm to attend a phone call. At the same time, Shabarish, a cable technician from Katampazhipuram, along with his friend Manikandan, were going to the field near Mangalankunnu to play cricket. As they passed by, they noticed a familiar face inside a parked car, who turned out to be Samson himself.
While joining the video call, Samson acknowledged him and politely gestured for him to wait. After ending his call, he came out and chatted warmly, asking about her well-being and even offered to take a photo. Shabarish clicked a selfie using his phone, the display of which was clearly damaged. Seeing this, Samson quietly opened the back of his car and gave him a new smartphone, which was reportedly worth around ₹30,000.
Shabarish and his friends were shocked and deeply impressed by this unexpected move. After a brief interaction, Samson continued his journey leaving a memorable experience for the fans.
Interestingly, this touching moment has come during a challenging phase of Samson's cricket form. Despite playing important innings during the T20 World Cup, he has struggled in the current IPL season after joining Chennai Super Kings. With scores of 6, 7 and 9 in their first three matches, their performances have reflected the team's slow start, as they have remained winless so far.
The five-time champions will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in their fourth match on Saturday, April 11, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, hoping to open their account in the 19th edition of the tournament.
