Ravindra Jadeja joins Rajasthan Royals again, franchise shares great video


Rajasthan Royals (RR) shared a wonderful video welcoming them Ravindra Jadeja The Indian Premier League (IPL) is back to its setup ahead of the upcoming edition of 2026.

The star all-rounder gave some brilliant performances for the Royals under the captaincy of Shane Warne. He was part of the Royals team that won the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008. After 18 years, Jadeja will be looking to help the Rajasthan-based franchise end their title drought.

Jadeja returned to Rajasthan Royals in a mega deal with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the IPL 2026 season. The Men in Yellow brought in Sanju Samson from the Royals in exchange for Jadeja and England all-rounder Sam Curran. The Saurashtra all-rounder was bought by CSK for Rs 14 crore, a cut from his previous salary of Rs 18 crore.

The Royals had a forgettable campaign last season. In 14 matches they recorded four wins and 10 losses. They finished ninth above CSK in the points table.

How has Jadeja's performance been in IPL?

Jadeja retired from T20I cricket after helping India win the 2024 T20 World Cup. However, the 37-year-old has continued playing in the IPL. He has played 254 matches in the cash-rich league, scoring 3260 runs at an average of 27.86 and a strike rate of 130.25. With the ball, he has taken 170 wickets at an average of 30.52 and an economy rate of 7.67.

Last year, Jadeja scored 301 runs at an average of 33.44 and a strike rate of 135.59. With the ball, he took 10 wickets at an average of 32.40 and an economy rate of 8.56.
