Conditions in the subcontinent have historically been known to favor spin bowlers, and the Indian Premier League has produced a good number of spinners. This is a competition where quality spinners have dictated the flow of the game, put a stranglehold on the batting teams and halted the progress of the batting teams by taking important wickets.
For those unaware, four of the top five highest wicket takers in the league are spinners, showing their dominance in the marquee tournament. Spin bowling works together, and having multiple solid spinners has always been beneficial for teams in the upcoming 2026 season of this eventful tournament as well.

10 – Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow Supergiants find themselves very short in depth of quality spinners. While mystery spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi A revelation last season, their other domestic options include Tamil Nadu's M Siddharth, who has shown promise whenever he has played for the Lucknow team, and useful all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed, another left-arm spinner.
LSG signed Wanindu Hasaranga in the auction, but he missed the T20 World Cup after suffering an injury in the first game and was always a fitness concern. Aiden Markram has developed into a real threat as an off-spinner, and there is a possibility that he may have to take the ball whenever required.
