Punjab Kings' (PBKS) batting prose Priyash Arya On Tuesday, April 8, after breaking 39-gaps against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Mulanpur, keep the opposition bowlers on notice.
Delhi's left -handed batsman won the match by scoring 103 runs off 42 balls, including seven fours and nine sixes. The remaining batsmen in the top six could manage only 23 runs. Punjab posted 219/6 before limiting CSK to 201/5.
Priyanash has been talking about the city since that epic knock. The 24 -year -old talked about remembering the opportunity to meet veteran MS Dhoni after a recent match and his presence behind the stumps pressed him while batting.
“I feel very lucky to play against Dhoni sir because very few people get that opportunity. When he was behind the wickets, there was pressure and there was a mythological bowler on the field like Ashwin. I wanted to talk to Dhoni Sir, but he had left the ground by that time,” Priyash said in an interview.

Priyash explained how PBKS head coach Ricky Ponting and Captain Shres Iyer gave him confidence before the IPL 2025 campaign. Priyanus said that the former Australia captain had asked him not to be worried about the outdoor exit against the Rajasthan Royals in the last match. On the other hand, Shreyas assured the young man that he would play all 14 games for the franchise in IPL 2025.
“Ricky sir assured me that anyone can be out of the first ball. He told me that if you get the same ball then I am asked to get out of the park. Ricky Sir always keeps asking me to improve his bridge shot. He has not worked with them on the technical front, we only talk about the mentality,” Arya said.
“In the nets ahead of the CSK game, Shreyas Bhai asked me to go with his first idea only after watching the ball. Even before the season, he told me that I will play all 14 games. Both Shreyas and Ricky Sir never spoke negatively after the dismissal for the first time. It is bound to promote your confidence,” he said.
