In the 15th match of IPL 2025, there was an exciting competition between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the prestigious Eden Gardens in Kolkata. SRH won the toss and hoped to take advantage of the position of the pitch and opted to bowl first.

His decision had to be paid early, as KKR's explosive openers had faltered. In-form Quinton de Coke managed 6 balls by only 1 run, while the aggressive Sunil Narin fell for 7 runs off 7 balls. At 16/2 in 2.3 overs, KKR was in deep trouble.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane then stabilized the innings, which led to a significant 81 -run partnership with Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi. His flexibility brought KKR back on the track. Finally, Venkatesh Iyer made a sensational knock, scoring 60 off just 29 balls, promoting KKR a total of 200/6 in 20 overs on a challenging batting pitch.

In response, SRH struggled properly from the beginning. His top order in Powerplay with Travis Head (4), Abhishek Sharma (2), and Ishaan Kishan (2) fell into the powerplay. The new-ball pair of KKR, Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana, do not allow SRH for any breathing space, bowling with discipline.

On the half -way mark, SRH was reeling at 72/5. The wickets kept on tambling, and except Henrich Klassen, who fought a tough fight with a knocking of 33 runs from 21 balls, no other batsman could cross the 30 -run mark. Eventually, SRH was thrown out, causing a defeat of 80 runs-his biggest loss in IPL history margin.
