In the 24th match of the Indian Premier League 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won 6 wickets at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Delhi Capital Bangalore. Delhi bowlers performed an impressive performance, limiting RCB to a total of 163/7 in their 20 overs.
DC won the toss and opted to bowl first. RCB's innings was exposed by Phil Salat's Quick-Fire 37, before he went out. Virat Kohli (22 runs) and Rajat Patidar (25 runs) began, but failed to convert them into a big score. The poor form of Devdutt Padikkal continued as it was rejected for just 1 run. Krunal Pandya scored 18 runs, while Tim David's 37 runs scored on just 20 balls and lifted RCB in a competitive clan.
Chasing the target of 164, Delhi Capital faced early failures with both FAF do Plessis (2 runs) and Jake Fraser-Macgurk (7 runs). Abishek Porl (7 runs) soon took him back to the pavilion. However, KL Rahul was composed and played a match winning knock, which was away by an unbeaten 93 off just 53 balls. He was well supported by Triston Stabs, who contributed 38* runs from 23 balls, directed Delhi to a comfortable win with 2.1 overs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/26) and Suyash Sharma (1/33) were standout bowlers for RCB, but Delhi's depth of Delhi's batting, especially Rahul sealed the victory. Delhi Capital is unbeaten with 4 out of 4 matches, sitting at the top with 8 points. Royal Challengers Bangalore followed with 6 points, winning 3 of their 5 matches.
