Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty, Sunil Narin, Marco Jansen and other bowlers of both PBK and KKR had a field day with the ball.
Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bat first. PBKs started their innings well, as they were 39/0 after 3.1 overs. Priyash Arya and Prabhasimran Singh gave him a good start. However, Arya's wicket made an incredible collapse. From 39/0, PBKS fell to 111, lost all his 10 wickets for only 72 runs.
Harshit was a pick of bowlers, who claimed 3/25 in his 3 -over magic. Chakravarti and Narin claimed 2/21 and 2/14 respectively. For PBKS, Prabhasimran Singh was the best batsman who scored 30 (15). A target of 112, which was to pursue a regulation, came out a huge grief for a 3-time champion against the 2014 runner-up.

While they actually lose their openers quickly, Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi stabilized KKR's innings. He was sailing in the run chase with 72/3 after 9 overs. From there, KKR lost 7 wickets for 23 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal was a Vreker-in-Chief, who claimed 4/28 in his 4 overs. Marco Jansen closed the match well with his 3/17, as PBK defeated KKR by 16 runs.

1. Unique partnership between Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh
KKR bowled well with Go Word Go. While PBK left for a flyer with 39/0 after 3.1 overs, KKR returned to the game, thanks to a unique partnership between Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh. The combination of bowler-field did a good job for KKR.
Rana took the first blood as soon as Arya was rejected. He then relieved Shreyas Iyer in the same over, who claimed the second wicket of the over. Ramandip claimed a sensational grip to dismiss Iyer. Later in the match, the pair dismissed Prabhasimran, causing Harshit's bowling to have three wickets as a fielder with Ramandeep.

2. KKR rejects PBK for just 111
KKR bowled well as a unit and dismissed KKR for a total of 111 runs. In addition to Harshit's early mantra, Chakravarti and Narre's spin pair came well for the defending champion. Both claimed 2/21 and 2/14 in their mantras of 4 and 3 overs respectively.
Passers such as Vaibhav Arora and Enrich Nortze claimed each wicket. The last wicket fell as a run out, as KKR did a great job to limit PBK to 111. Arya and Prabhasimran batted well for PBK at the top. Shashank Singh and Xavier Bartlet made an easy contribution to the end.

3. PBKs successfully defends the lowest clan in IPL history
PBK bowled very well to protect the lower clan. An enthusiastic bowling attempt of the entire bowling unit helped PBK protect the lowest clan in the history of the league. PBKS had KKR at 7/2 after 1.2 overs. But KKR was recovered in a moment, thanks to the partnership between Rahen and Raghuvanshi.
The young batsman's wicket made a fall. Rahane's dismissal began the final collapse of the visiting side. From 72/3 after 9 overs, KKR was dismissed for 95 runs. Chahal and Jansen claimed 4/28 and 3/17 respectively, as the house became a part of IPL history.
