24-year-old Priyash Arya's magnificent 42-gend 103 directed Punjab kings (PBKS) IPL 2025 match number 22 to win a 18 -run win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Mulanpur. Arya's centenary, which came in just 39 balls, was the fastest by an uncapulated Indian and Joint Fourthst in IPL history, only behind the dunies such as Chris Gayle, Yusuf Pathan and David Miller.
CSK laps in the field were even more surprisingly surprised, leaving him twice as part of five lapses at night. PBKS had a disappointing start with 83/5, but Arya's fireworks, followed by Shashank Singh (52* 36) and Marco Jansen (34* 19 runs), shared a 65 -run partnership, pushed to 219/6.
In response, CSK started well with Devon Conway and Rachin Rabindra and pairs 59 in Powerplay. Conway scored 69 runs in 49 balls, but retired in the 18th over. Shivam Dubey (27 to 42 runs) and MS Dhoni (27 for 12) tried to chase, but was too late. CSK's 180+ chasing struggles continued as they have now failed in their last 11 such efforts since 2020. With this win, PBK won its first domestic win of the season.
