PBKS-MI stability transferred from Dharmasala to Ahmedabad amid tension between India, Pakistan

61 matches of the ongoing edition Indian premiere league The Punjab has been officially transferred to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad among the Punjab kings and Mumbai Indians. “Logistic challenges” in an official press release on the control board website for cricket in India is the reason behind that.

The match time (IST) will remain unchanged at 3:30 pm and will be played on Sunday 11 May as per the original schedule. This development originates after airports in Chandigarh and Dharmasala, which was temporarily closed due to the ongoing political tension between India and Pakistan regarding the recent terrorist attack in Pahgam.

However, the game between PBK and Delhi Capital will be played on Thursday, 8 May in the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association as Slated. The match is about to begin at 7:30 pm (IST). Probably, an increased security appearance for the game between the two sides is expected.

A major issue arising from the change of the site is branding and banner in and around the stadium. Since Narendra Modi Stadium is the home ground of Gujarat Titans, it is full of posters and hoardings led by Shubman Gill. With the PBKS set to host the game, it is not clear that as far as the above subject is concerned, be expected.

The Gujarat Cricket Association has allegedly told the BCCI that GT will need to consult on the same. GT already has two domestic sports on 14 May and 18 May. This will make such a huge site to be rebuilt incredibly difficult.
