Vinayak Shukla's rise has intensified since Oman's breakdown in the national side at the end of last year. Now 31-year-old wicketkeeper-Better has already made a reputation as a middle-order striker who can transfer speed to T20 cricket. Shukla announced his debut in December 2024, in a commanding victory, Oman scored 40 runs off just 18 balls against Qatar to pursue Oman before 200. After less than a week, he underlined his ability with his first international half -century. Walking against Kuwait at 67 for 4, Shukla stabilized the innings before expediting 52 unbeaten from 29 delivery. His attacking game has quickly made him a favorite option of Oman with both bat and gloves in the smallest format. In eight T20i, Shukla has rated a strike in the name of a fifty, with an average of 190 runs in 31.66 and a strike rate of 146.15. Their border of 17 fours and seven sixes reflects his ability to clean the counting area, while his glovework has also been reliable with a catch and a stumping. In Odis, they have 9 catches and 3 stumpings. Shukla's continuity gave him a place in the ODI side earlier this year, and was included in the Oman squad for his first Asia Cup campaign in Dubai. He was nominated for his initial match against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, where Oman limited his opponents to 160 to 70.
