Skolfield himself may have been the fifth member of the party, but he suffered an ankle injury on South Africa's earlier tour in November, causing him to fly a house before adding three ODIs and two T20I caps to his current tally.
He is now involved in the Alice Capsi, Daniel Gibson, Base Heath and Fraya Camps as senior members of England, which is due to playing a four-day game against three T20, three Odis and Australia, which is a four-day game from April 12-15, beating England in a vault. Capsey and Gibson are currently on WPL duty in India, and therefore recall the T20i leg starting on 26 March at Hurstville Oval in Sydney.
Skolfield England will be involved by players of the women's pace program, including her team partner Reena McDonald-G, Emma Jones (T20 and 50-over) and Alexa Stonehouse, who have been selected in all formats. No captain has been nominated for three forms yet.
Most of the groups at a training camp in Abu Dhabi are undergoing hot weather training, and will depart for Sydney on 17 March.
John Lewis, a woman from England, a head coach, said: “We are eager to test ourselves with great depth against a national side. We are aware of further challenge.
“Some good works have been done by the players based in England and those who are playing cricket in winter around the world and the tour offers the players an opportunity to push for selection in the senior team through a strong performance against the Australians.”
Jonathan Finch, director of England women's cricket, said, “We have a good mixture of experience in three squads, which are trying to perform and push all the players for selection in the senior team. The experience that they will gain through highly competitive matches within a multi-grand schedule will be really thrilling, and hope to intensify their development for them.
