PBK continued his aggressive approach with a sensational knock with the left -handed Priyash Arya. He scored 106 runs in only 42 delivery, including nine sixes, destroying the CSK bowling attack. Despite Arya's fireworks, CSK managed to take wickets at regular intervals. Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets, conceding 47 runs. Khalil Ahmed also stuck with two wickets.
By the end of the 16th over, PBK stood at 164 for 6, with Marco Jansen and Shashank Singh at the crease.
