Punjab Kings' (PBK) All -round Glenn Maxwell 25 percent of its match fee has been fined and has submitted a demerit point during the IPL (Indian Premier League) code of conduct. Match 22 IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Mulanpur on Tuesday.
Maxwell's crime belongs to Article 2.2 of the IPL code of conduct, which is related to the misuse of fixtures and fittings during the match – a crime classified under Level 1. According to the official release of the IPL, the cricketer accepted Breach and accepted the approval of the match referee. According to the IPL protocol, decisions about level 1 violations are final and binding.
Although accurate details of the incident have not been revealed, action under Article 2.2 usually involves moments of despair where a player can damage the equipment or stadium property, such as aggressively swinging a bat and killing advertising boards, kicking stumps, or damaging the dressing room fitting.
Maxwell's disappointing batting run continues
