Mumbai Indians scored 215 runs in their 20 overs to end the first innings of the match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhed Stadium in the 45th match of IPL 2025.
LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first. MI ran quickly, as Reclton And Rohit Sharma provided a flying start. While Mayank Yadav got rid of Rohit, MI scored 66/1 runs by the end of the powerplay overs. Before being dismissed for 58 (32), Ricelton played a good knock, as he scored fifty in just 25 balls.
Suryakumar Yadav Joined the party and played a good hand. Star Batter scored 54 (28) and claimed the Orange Cap in the process. While the wickets fell into quick succession, MI was recovered, thanks to an easy partnership between the nominated Dhir and Debutant Bosch on death. While South African scored 20 (10) runs, Dhir scored an unbeaten 25*(11).
For LSG, Mayank Yadav, who played his first match of the season, was a bowlers' pick. Right-Arm Paper later returned to the innings to claim Hardik Pandya's wicket. Avesh Khan claimed some wickets. It was a match where all LSG bowlers had an economy rate at the 10–12 limits.
