18th edition of Indian premiere league Saturday, 22 March was going on. Defending Champion, KKR, took RCB in a season opener at the prestigious Eden Gardens.
While the choice of DC and GT made a strong start, winning four consecutive games respectively and four out of their first five, sides like CSK and SRH had their own part of struggles to win under their belts.
The progress of the season changed things by going to the lines that won the rights to strengthen their position. Apart from the emergence of upcoming talent in its first season in the IPL, some records were shattered.

However, it was soon discovered that the game was discontinued due to technical failure. The attacks between India and Pakistan became heated and the tournament was postponed by the Control Board for Cricket in India for a week.
