Lucknow Super Veteran (LSG) won a thriller against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in his backyard in the 21st match of IPL 2025. Lucknow -based franchise won a 4 -run win, which was the third of the season. A great batting attempt with an enthusiastic bowling attempt helped LSG catch his nerves and claim an exciting win in a high scoring match. A total of 472 runs were achieved at the Eden Gardens.
Batting first, LSG scored 238 runs, which was his second largest clan in IPL history. A brilliant performance by Aiden Marcram, Mitchell Marsh, and Nicholas Boordan's LSG Top 3 helped LSG uplift itself after starting its innings a little continuously. KKR had to chase the second largest clan in IPL history to pull the run chase.
Incidentally, the highest IPL clan was chased at the same place by PBK at the same place a year ago at the same place. KKR put forward the right leg in the run chase. After being asked to bat first, LSG posted a big total of 238/3 of his second largest in the league history. Important contributors for their score were the top 3 – Aiden Marcram, Mitchell Marsh, and Nicholas Poordan. Markram started well and scored 47 (28) runs in his stay, including 4 fours and 2 sixes. Marsh, the early South African companion, also batted well.
Star batter saw his 4th fifty of the season in 5 matches. The right -handed batsman scored 81 (48), including 6 fours and 5 sixes. But the show's star was undoubtedly Nicholas Goran, who was on a crazy hitting spree. Southpo scored an unbeaten 87*(36), including 7 fours and 8 sixes. This contribution helped LSG to post a total total.
2. KKR's powerplay madness in batting
After a huge chase of 239, KKR was required to start on a high note. The top 3 of KKR did the same.
