After a poor IPL 2025 campaign, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have participated mutually with the head coach Chandrakant pandit And bowling coach Bharat Arun ends a three -year term for both coaches.
Chandrakant Pandit, considered one of the most successful domestic coaches in India, came on board during the 2023 season. Meanwhile, India Arun, who first worked as India's bowling coach from 2014 to 2021, joined Kolkata -based franchise in the 2022 season.
Both played a big role in guiding the franchise for their third IPL title in 2024. However, the team failed to repeat that success in the 2025 season, with just five wins out of 14 matches, finished eighth on the table. KKR's title under the new captain Ajinkya Rahane separated due to inconsistent performance, missed opportunities and internal issues. His playoff hopes ended after the rain washed away against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The franchise placed a hearty post for its departure coaches.

Under the tenure of Pandit, KKR found future stars such as Rinku Singh and Harshit Rana, and mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty returned to the Indian team.
