The Indian Premier League (IPL) fever is set to return with its 19th season in less than a week. Ahead of the start of the new IPL season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the fixtures for just the first phase from March 28 to April 12. This is due to the impending state elections which are scheduled to be held in Assam, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. The complete list will be announced after the voting dates are announced.
In the first phase of 2026 IPL Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Four matches are set to be played, three of which will be held at their home ground – the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Three-time champions Sunrisers Hyderabad will begin their latest campaign against Mumbai Indians before playing three consecutive home matches against Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants.
