Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced another disappointing outing with the bat in IPL 2025, and team owner Kavya Maran could not hide his frustration. In the game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, the Orange Army failed to capitalize on favorable home conditions and was limited to 152/8 by Gujarat Titans. Meanwhile, Maran was caught giving a disappointing response to another top-order collapse on the camera.
Watch video of Kavaya Maran's response below:
The option to bat first on a pitch that was expected to help the batsmen, SRH failed to do once again. The Travis Head was scoring only 8 runs before Mohammad Siraj fell in the over long ago. Abhishek Sharma hit four borders, but could not change his start. Trying a big shot from Siraj, he was rejected by scoring 18 runs off 16 balls, which was caught by Rahul Tawatia.
Abhishek's poor form has become a growing concern for the franchise in Hyderabad. After a brilliant 2024 season, where he scored 484 runs, he was expected to continue in the same way. However, his 2025 campaign is away from last year's fireworks, with scores of 24, 6, 1, 2 and now 18.

After the initial dismissal, Ishaan Kishan (17), Heinrich Klassen (27), and Nitish Kumar Reddy (31) attempted to stabilize the innings. Klassen and Reddy shared a 50 -run partnership, but could neither anchor the innings till the end. R Sai Kishore rejected both of them in quick succession. In the final overs, Pat Cummins showed some talent with the bat, as he scored 22 runs off 9 balls, but it was not enough to push the clan on a strong score. Siraj returned to finish the tail, eliminating 4/17 figures.
