Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended their long IPL trophy drought in 2025, winning the title after a long wait of 18 seasons and delighting the fans. While their campaign was largely successful, there were some issues in the middle order, where England all-rounder Liam Livingstone struggled to make a consistent impact.
The right-handed batsman has often been unable to accelerate the scoring or stabilize the innings when required, and his performances have not lived up to expectations. Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, RCB may consider releasing him and look for options that can provide better balance to the team, considering that they will be keen to defend their title in the upcoming season.
Here are 3 replacement options for Liam Livingstone at RCB ahead of IPL 2026 auction
3. Saransh Jain (India)

Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Saransh Jain Can be an ideal home replacement. Jain has had impressive performances in domestic cricket including the Irani Cup, Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy. He is known for his ability to score runs quickly in the lower-middle order, and can increase RCB's scoring rate during the crucial middle and death overs.
Additionally, his right-arm spin can provide control and crucial breakthroughs, helping to contain opposition runs, as the Bengaluru-based franchise has not managed to find a good right-arm spinner since the departure of Yuzvendra Chahal. Jain's ability to stay at the crease for long periods and guide the innings adds depth to RCB's batting line-up.
