Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match No. 14 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, April 8.
Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals have made a dream start in IPL 2026 and have won both their matches so far. They started with a six-wicket win against Lucknow Super Giants away from home before defeating Mumbai Indians by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, are yet to find their footing. They lost to Punjab Kings by three wickets in Mullanpur and lost to Rajasthan Royals by six runs at home. Titans is at number 9 in the points table.
The Capitals team is very balanced and that is why they are looking great despite KL Rahul and Nitish Rana not performing well in the first two matches. There is also a lot of variety in the bowling department, due to which the opposition batsmen do not get any respite.
Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, seem to have lost their Midas touch during their first two seasons in the IPL, where they used to emerge victorious in difficult situations. They lost both games and suffered a concussion. However, the result did not suit him. The 2022 champions will be hoping for the return of their captain Shubman Gill after he missed the last game due to muscle cramps.

Pitch Report: Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi
The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has provided some excellent batting surfaces in recent seasons. Short boundaries also make it difficult for bowlers to stop the flow of runs. However, in the first game at the venue in IPL 2026, the ball did not stop the batsmen as Mumbai Indians could only manage 162/6 in the first innings. Capitals achieved the target in 18.1 overs with six wickets remaining. However, that was an afternoon event. The ball should come onto the bat better under lights.
