GT captain Shubman Gill returned in great form and played a brilliant inning of 70 runs in 45 balls at the top. After the early fall of Sai Sudarshan, Gill took the innings forward and increased the pace beautifully in the middle overs.
His innings, laced with brilliant strokeplay and timely boundaries, laid the right foundation for a huge score. More importantly, his crucial 104-run partnership with Washington Sundar ensured that GT maintained control and momentum throughout the innings.
2) Rashid Khan changes the game with magical magic
Rashid Khan once again proved why he remains one of the most dangerous T20 bowlers in the world, returning to form with a match-defining spell of 3/17. With DC hovering at one stage, Rashid struck at the right time, dismissing Nitish Rana and Sameer Rizvi on consecutive balls to derail the target. He then returned to dismiss Axar Patel, further strengthening GT's grip on the game.
3)David Miller's efforts went in vain
