There was a lot of speculation ahead of the IPL 2024 auction that Green would be a part of the main setup. However, fans were surprised when MI traded him to RCB in a cash deal.

Green is currently associated with the Australian unit for the ongoing Ashes series. He played an important role for the host team in the two test matches held so far. He has also returned to contribute with the ball after a back injury that kept him out of competitive cricket for some time.

Talking about IPL, the 26-year-old is set to take over Andre Russell's role for KKR as he recently retired from the marquee league. Green will be expected to bat up or act as a floater depending on the situation.
