It is a bit surprising that one of England's best opening batsmen across all formats in recent times has not featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL) before. ben duckettHowever, now he is finally set to make his debut in the biggest franchise league where he will represent Delhi Capitals (DC).
DC signed Duckett for his base price of Rs 2 crore in the mini auction. The left-handed batsman was part of the England squad in the recently concluded 2026 T20 World Cup. However, he did not appear in a single game.
However, Duckett has played 217 T20 games in his professional career and will be a huge asset to the DC team as a hard-hitting opening batsman who can also wear the gloves if needed.
