DC signed Duckett for his base price of Rs 2 crore in the mini auction. The left-handed batsman was part of the England squad in the recently concluded 2026 T20 World Cup. However, he did not appear in a single game.

However, Duckett has played 217 T20 games in his professional career and will be a huge asset to the DC team as a hard-hitting opening batsman who can also wear the gloves if needed.
