IPL 2026: 3 strongest batsmen of Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals (DC) Has not made many changes to its batting lineup ahead of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. They have retained the core of their middle-order, which helped them finish fifth last season, just one point away from a playoff spot.

However, the capital city team has made some astute signings in the mini-auction, allowing them to strengthen their already strong batting unit. The Delhi team has a player at each stage of the batting order who can come and swing the game in their favor.

Here are 3 Delhi Capitals batsmen to watch in IPL 2026:

Ashutosh Sharma He has played the role of designated finisher for DC in the past too and will be expected to do the same this time too. The 27-year-old scored runs at a strike rate of 160 and scored 204 runs during the 2025 IPL season.

Coming in to bat lower down the order, Ashutosh's hard-hitting ability, along with the presence of Sameer Rizvi, will allow players like KL Rahul and Axar Patel to bowl heavily early in the innings.

A beneficiary of the Impact Sub rule, Ashutosh can come into bat whenever his team needs a flourish in the death overs. The best example of DC using this rule to the best of its ability was during the opening game of the 2025 season against LSG, where Ashutosh scored an unbeaten 66 off just 31 balls to help his team achieve a thrilling target of 210 runs with three balls to spare.
