Former Indian cricketer, Sreedharan ShriramChennai Super Kings have been planted as assistant bowling coach before IPL 2025. Shriram will join the head coach Stephen Fleming, Batting Coach Mike Hussey and Bowling Advisor Eric Simmons.
Shriram comes as a replacement for the East Chennai Super Kings Veteran, Dwayne Bravo, who joined Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor last year. The West Indian all-rounder was a bowling coach for CSK, a joint-most successful franchise in the IPL during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Shriram brings a treasure of experience with him. He was an assistant coach of Australia from 2016 to 2022. In August 2022, he became the T20 Advisor to Bangladesh in the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup in the buildup. Later year (2023), he joined Lucknow Super Giants as an assistant coach for IPL 2024. He also made his way in Bangladesh as a technical advisor before the 50 over World Cup in 2023. It is also noteworthy to mention that they have mentioned as an assistant coach in Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capital).

As it exceeds the years, CSK is once again stacked with frontal spinners as Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal and Noor Ahmed. The list does not end there, in which Rachin Ravindra and Deepak Hooda serve as a spin-bouling all-rounders.
For the previous version, CSK missed on qualifying for the playoffs. He finished fifth with seven wins and as many defeats in 14 group-phase sports led by Ruturaj Gikwad. He was on the point with Royal Challengers Bangalore at the end of his league stage. However, an inferior net run rate meant that they could not make it.
IPL 2025 Is ready to start on 22 March. KKR is set to take on RCB at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The next evening, CSK saw Mumbai Indians playing that both sides would be the initial game.
