Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 The final is set to be at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 3 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings. RCB sealed its place in the final after defeating PBK in Qualifier 1, while the Punjab -based franchise returned by defeating five -time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2 on Sunday.
The rain is already seen in Motera with a confrontation between PBKs and Mi, now there is increasing speculation about the possible rains on the final day. However, the organizers have planned for weather obstacles, a reserved day has been separated on June 4 if the rains play on the prescribed day. Additionally, there is a provision for an additional time of 120 minutes on both days to adjust the delay in any rainfall, after which the overs are lost – here, IST at 9:30 pm.
In addition, the cut-off time for the five-over-a-side game is IST at 11.56 am, and if the rain persists, the match will move forward on Reserve Day, which is 4 June. The same cut-off time and sports criteria are also applied to Reserve Day, however, if the extra day is washed, the game will be unfortunately closed.
What if the rain plays on the day of the match and on Reserve Day?
According to the IPL rules, in such a scenario, the team to end up in the points table at the end of the league stage will be declared the winner. Shreyas Iyer led PBKSThose who finished first in the points table with 19 points, will be awarded the IPL 2025 Trophy if no result is possible on both days.
“16.11.2 – If the conditions are not allowed a super over, or later super overs within the available time to determine the winner described in the appendix F, then the team, which ended in the high position in the league table at the end of the respective regular session (according to Claus 16.10) will be understood to the winner of the relevant play -of match,” Playing Conditioning Law.
The platform is already determined for the much awaited final, both PBK and RCBTwo franchises who have been part of the IPL for 18 years want to claim their first IPL Trophy. The fans and the world of cricket are waiting for the historical achievement.
