4. Kolkata Knight Riders

The defending champion was a season to forget. Players made like Venkatesh Iyer and Sunil Narin did not take steps with the bat.
Another major factor was that they allow some sports to slip, which they should ideally win. They were reduced by winning positions. Experienced veterans like Andre Russell did not show as expected. Lack of a trusted abroad – like Mitchell Starc's caliber from last season – made cases worse for KKR.
