Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) In the Ekna Stadium in Lucknow, the IPL 2025 match 65 won the Royal Challengers Bangalore at 42 runs. Despite the win, SRH finished eighth with 11 points, while RCB finished third with 17 points from second place.
Batting first, SRH posted a huge 231 for 6 as Ishan Kishan led the charge with a brilliant unbeaten 94 off just 48 balls, including seven fours and five sixes. Abhishek Sharma (17 runs 17), Heinrich Klassen (24 to 24), and Annic Verma (26 runs 9) also made an impressive contribution, which operated him until a malignant score. For RCB, Romario Shepherd took two wickets for just 14 runs in his two over spell.
Chasing 232, RCB During the powerplay, the SRH bowlers in all parts of the ground started exploding with Openers Phil Salat (32 runs 32) and Virat Kohli (25 runs 25). However, after the openers were rejected, the rest of the batting lineup fell against the bowling of the SRH bowlers.
SRH made a strong comeback, led by Eshan Malinga, who removed the dangerous Romario Shepherd and Tim David after leaving the silver Patidar, as RCB fell from 173 to 3 to 189. Skipper Pat Cummins took three wickets for 28 runs in his four overs, including significant salt dismissal.
SRH will play their last league match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 25 May, while RCB will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their final stability on 27 May.
