'Indian players can stay for Test series'

The IPL has been officially suspended for a week due to border conflicts between India and Pakistan, as it has increased considerably. There have been reports that the BCCI may plan to look into the August or September window to resume the tournament, in which 16 games will be played.

While some people believe that this was the right step by the board, interested in the nation before the league, the former England cricketer has made a suggestion to continue the tournament in the United Kingdom that they have all the places available and Indian players can live in the country and prepare for the upcoming five -match exam series against England. Due to this, the former England Test skipper has been trolled by Neetzens on social media.

When was the IPL played on foreign soil?

Talking about the IPL to be played on foreign soil, it was for the first time that in 2009, the league was held in South Africa due to the ongoing general elections during that year. It was Deccan Chargers who won the title in that season after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

When the tournament was played outside India, the other was in the first half of 2014, the second half of 2020 and 2021, which was hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to elections in 2014 and Covid -19 outbreak in 2020 and 2021.
