'I was barely four hours of sleep and I am here'


Shreyas Iyer admitted before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 finals that he had slept for only four hours after helping the Punjab Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2 to Punjab Kings (PBK).

The PBK captain made a great knock against MI, scoring 87 off 41 balls at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. His knock won five wickets for PBK, as he chased a target of 204 runs with five wickets in 19 overs.

The IPL 2025 finals are being contested on Tuesday between PBK and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Both teams have not yet won the IPL title. However, one of them will be able to eliminate zinc at the end of the final.

Shreyas said at a pre-match press conference in Monday, June 2 (Via Times of India), “I could not sleep. I was hardly four hours of sleep and I am here. I went to my room. And then I know the next thing, I know here, I am doing PC here,” Sris said at Monday, 2 June (via Times of India) at the Pre-Match Conference.

Shreyas evaluated his knock against MI, as he has played the best in IPL. The Mumbai batsman said on Monday, “I have played the top most in the IPL.”

How did Shreyas Iyer perform in IPL 2025?

The 30 -year -old has played 16 matches and has scored an average of 603 runs on an average of 54.82 and a strike rate of 175.81. Shreyas has kept an eye on the 18th edition of the tournament till six half-century so far. She has been a six-touch machine in this season, which slamms 39 maximum, which is only one low compared to Nicholas Gorn, which is at the top of the chart.

This season, PBK and RCB have faced each other on three occasions. Rajat Patidar's men have won the upper hand, emerging in two matches, including a wider eight wicket win against Shreyas & Co. in Qualifier 1 in Mulanpur.
