'He's good enough to play'

Former England captain michael vaughn It has been suggested that Team India select Rajasthan Royals (RR) star Vaibhav Suryavanshi for their upcoming England tour.

“When will he make his debut in Indian cricket? And I'm just watching, and I know we're probably getting ahead of ourselves. It's only the first innings of the IPL, but there's a white-ball tour of England in a few months. And if I were Indian cricket, I would take him on that tour. Not necessarily, he's going to join the players who are in the team at the moment, but one thing he needs is that he needs to get into the Indian team,” Vaughan told Cricbuzz's YouTube. However, the former player-turned-expert hits back and suggests that the RR teenager is already good enough to wear the coveted blue jersey.

“Just bring him in, and if he plays a game or two, fantastic, but take him on a tour. Is he allowed to go on tour at the age of 15? I'm giving him a bit of experience with that Indian team. Not necessarily, like I said, jump straight into the team, but just keep him around. He's good enough to play. I have no doubt about that,” he said.

Suryavanshi His performances have seen tremendous growth since making his IPL debut last year at the age of 14. Since then, the aggressive batsman has scored centuries in the IPL, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He also created a stir in the recent U19 World Cup, scoring 175 runs in just 80 balls in the final against England to help his team win the trophy.
