The legendary cricketer was set to introduce a high-voltage against England in a five-match test chain, but his sudden retirement has forced selectors to look for a suitable replacement. While fans are still coming with Kohli's landmark decision, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batting coach and mentor Dinesh Karthik said that the former captain of India is currently at his happiest place. Former India cricketer said that Kohli wants to spend more time with her family, now he will play only in the 50 -over format and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Speaking in front of the RCB confrontation on 23 May on Friday, Karthik said, “It came as a blow to the outside world, so we were just seeing what Virat was. He is now on his most happy – he is enjoying the game, and he wants to spend more time with his family.
“This is a personal decision, and we respect it. Like everyone else, we were surprised – 'Oh, this is happening.” But the fact is that whenever we want to play it, it is great to see him happy and ready.
Going down fighting against RCB SRH
RCB gave the opportunity to go to the top of the IPL 2025 points table after losing to SRH on Friday. The Orange Army was asked to bat first and scored 231/5 runs behind Ishan Kishan's unbeaten 94 in 48 delivery.
In the second innings, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli scored an 80 -run stand in seven overs. However, the latter was rejected for 25-goals 43. On the other hand, salt scored 62 runs in 32 balls. RCB was chasing until the 15th over, but a magic of five balls, where he lost three wickets, ended his hopes of a surprising victory.
